Oil Slick At Beach

Troops were ordered out today to help clear a holiday beach near St Brieuc of oil washed ashore during the night The oil was part of a sevenmile oil slick from a French tanker which was in collision with an Israeli freighter a week ago. ' The slick was broken up by choppy seas and by chemicals poured on to the oil by naval vessels, fishing boats, and customs, launches yesterday.
