Man Sentenced To Gaol

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 26. A 22-year-old process worker who, Mr D. G. Sinclair, SJU., said, bad shown a "complete disregard for public safety” by stealing copper wire from , the telephone link between the Auckland railway Ration, and Frankton Junction, was today sentenced to two years imprisonment. James Alan Watters, aged 22, represented by Mr D. A. M. Graham, was appearing for sentence on four charges of theft of copper wire. ‘Tt seems to' be the> season for copper stealing at the moment,’’.said the Magistrate.
