RACING Top Middle-Distance Pair To Meet At Foxton

Two of the country’s top 10-furlong horses, Royal Tudor and Free Pass, will clash over their favourite distance at Foxton tomorrow in the M. B. Bergin Handicap, first leg of the Foxton Racing Cub’s T.A.B. double.

Royal Tudor has not appeared since he ran away from a good field over 10 furlongs at Awapuni on June 7. Free Pass wiD be having Ms first start since his failure in the CJ.C. Winter Cup early this month.

Royal Tudor likes Foxton. A year ago he returned from a spell to win the sprint there and then went on to have a great season, winning six races up to the 10 furlongs, over which he will be tried tomorrow. Top Jockey Suspended

(N.Z. Press Associations LONDON. The top Australian jockey, R. Hutchinson has been suspended for five days, beginning today. The suspension came after a stewards inquiry over yesterday’s Great Voltigeur Stakes at York, won by Hutchinson on Intermezzo. After the inquiry, Intermezzo was disqualified and placed fourth and the race given to the odds-on favourite, Harmony Hall. Hutchinson is at present third in the Jockeys’ Premiership behind G. Lewis, who notched his 100th winner of the season yesterday.
