Tribunal Rules Two Books Indecent

WELLINGTON, August 21. The Indecent Publications Tribunal today ruled two books indecent.

They are "Jailbirds in the Back Seat,” by Marcus Van Heller, and “Bizarre Sex Acts,” by Bob Michaels. The rulings were announced by the deputy chairman, Mr F. McCarthy, in the absence of the chairman, Mr L. G. Sinclair, S.M. The tribunal ruled six books as not indecent except in the hands of persons under 18. They are “Glover” (hardback edition only), by Franeis Pollini; “The Master Masochist,” by L. Von Masoch: “The Swinging Set,” by William and Jerrye Breedlove: “Sex Is for Giving,” by John Webster; “Sex Marchers,” by Jefferson Poland and Sam Sloan; and

“My Love Store,” a magazine published by Topsellers, Ltd, London. Another magazine was ruled indecent to all except those over 18 engaged in a study of The hearing of the application concerning the Massey University capping magazine, “Masskerade 69,”. was adjourned at the request of the applicant, the Secretary of Justice. Two magazines, “Exclusive” and “Penthouse,” were put forward for consideration by the tribunal on behalf of their publishers, T.S.A.
