BILLIARDS CHAMPION
In an uninspiring final, J. Thomson beat L. Seeker to win the Canterbury junior billiards championship. Thompson had earlier caused a surprise, winning his semi-final against W. Taylor, one of the strongest contenders for the title. Results:—
Semi-final.—J. Thomson 300, W. Taylor 262; L. Seeker 300, H. Karaitiana 200. Final.—J. Thomson 400, L. Seeker 310.
