Conference Officers

WELLINGTON. Mr R. A. Whyte (Wellington) above, was yesterday re-elected unopposed as president of the New Zealand Racing Conference. Mr H. H. Smith (Hawke’s Bay) was elected unopposed as vice-president. The members of the executive committee, appointed by their respective district committees are:— Messrs N. A. Thomson (Auckland), D. W. J. Gould (Canterbury), R. C. B. Greenslade (Dunedin), E. C. Berry (Greymouth), G. H. Morgan (Hawke’s Bay), W. A. IL Thompson (Southland), C. H. Wynyard (Taranaki), F. C. Johnstone (Waikato), M. A. Conway (Wanganui), L D. Reid (Wellington). The levy on clubs for conference expenses was set at $160,000, with a levy of $56,722 for the training tracks subsidy.
