Railways Changes

(N.I Preu association) , WELLINGTON, July 4. Two senior appointments in the Railways Department were announced today by the Minister of Railways (Mr Gordon). Mr T. M. Hayward, commercial agent, Wanganui, has been appointed commercial manager and Mr P. W. Burton, assistant comptroller, has been appointed comptroller, refreshment branch. Mr Hayward will succeed Mr H. Cottier, who has been the Railways Department’s commercial manager since 1965 and who is to retire in August after 40 years service with the department. Mr Burton will succeed Mr Hill, who has been comptroller, refreshment branch, since 1864 and who will also retire in August after 40 years service. _____
