Yearlings Sell Well

SYDNEY, July 4. Sixteen New Zealand-bred yearlings sold at Trentham in January fetched almost 115.000 more when they were reoffered at auction in Sydney yesterday. In January an Australian buyer gave a total of 535,950 for the horses. Yesterday purchasers snapped up the yearlings for 348,750. The horses were originally bought by. » Sydney publican at Trentham but were seised by the Sheriff of New South Wales in April. An Alclmedes-Streets Ahead colt brought the best price of the 10, 50500, which was 53000 more than the yearling cost at Trentham.
Second Best price was 55250 paid for another Alclmedes youngster, a Ally out of Ollvene. It fetched 33000 less at Trentham.
