Unity In Societies

Concern that there were two separate clean air societies in New Zealand was expressed by Mr P. V. Nearey, the publicity officer of the New Zealand Clean Air Society, at the annual meeting last evening.

As well as the New Zealand society, an Australasian Clean Air Society was going in Auckland, he said. Unity between the two societies should be encouraged, said Mr Nearey. The Australasian society was more concerned with the technical aspects of removing air pollution, while the New Zealand Clean Air Society concentrated on stirring peoples’ consciences to avoid air pollution.
