WELLINGTON, July 4.

Judge Archer, the chairman of the Transport Commission which investigated the container proposals, said tonight it appeared that the Government had accepted the plans of the British Conference Lines subject to a number of reservations which were implicit in the commission’s report. The commission had pointed out that there were a number of matters on which negotiations would be needed, and it was of the opinion that the Government should take an active part in these negotiations with the lines, he said.
