MAIL DELAY

Because of the suspension of the air service to the Chatham Islands, arrangements have been made for all mail on hand to be sent on the Holmdale, due to sail from Lyttelton today, the acting Chief Postmaster (Mr J. A. Trevarton) said yesterday. Those who have sent parcels air rate will be refunded the surcharge.
