OVERSEAS AID

Contribution By Students (N.Z. Preu Auoeiatton) WELLINGTON, July 2. Students of Victoria University will give 1 per cent of their personal incomes for overseas aid next week. More than 250 students have entered the scheme, which is intended to be an example to the Government and the public. The money collected will be used to establish a bursary for students at the University of the South Pacific in Suva. Student leaders are to present a petition to Parliament next week, calling on the Government to use 1 per cent of the national income for non-military aid to developing overseas countries by 1973. The petition has more than 27,000 signatures so far.
