APPEAL FAILS
An appeal by Neil George Duggan, aged 25, a moulder (Mr K. N. Hampton), against a sentence of 11 months imprisonment for burglary—on the ground that such term was clearly excessive—was dismissed by Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday. His Honour said that Duggan’s offence of burglary was his second such offence in a little more than a year, and committed while on probation, which was sufficiently serious to have warranted an even longer term of imprisonment
