TUNNELLING MACHINE

Pres* Association) ROTORUA, June 9. “Unexpected problems of assembly” have delayed the first major test of the $400,000 tunnelling machine to be used on the Tongariro power scheme, according to the tunnelling combine, CodelfaCogefar. The test will probably now be made on Wednesday or Thursday. Codelfa-Cogefar’s statement said the “majority of the aspects of the machine” had been tested.
