FIRST LOADING OF BENTONITE.—A cargo of 500 tons of bentonite pellets "being loaded by conveyer into the Union Steam Ship Company’s freighter Kawaroa at Lyttelton yesterday. This is the first bulk load from the Coalgate deposits of Canterbury Bentonite, Ltd, and is being shipped to Port Stanley, Tasmania, where it will be used as a bonding agent with iron ore.
