HONDA 1300 PLANS
The final specifications of the Honda 1300 saloon have now been announced in Japan. The car will be sold in two basic series, the Honda 77 with a single-carburettor engine producing 100 b.h.p., and the Honda 99 with a fourcarburettor engine producing 115 b.h..p. In Japan the cheapest car will cost about $lOOO, and the most expensive will cost about $l4OO. There will be seven different models, four of them single-carburettor cars. The cars will be available with automatic transmission or a four-speed all-syncromesh gearbox. The first examples of the car will go on sale in Japan late this month, and by the end of this year the factory plans to produce about 10,000 cars a month. n
