COLLECTING GRASS GRUBS.—Some of the party of 20, including Lincoln schoolboys, who picked np grass grubs at Mr L. G. Hewson’s property at Sedgemere yesterday. By lunch time the party bad collected 14,000 grubs of the 120,000 required by Professor J. N. Smith, of Victoria University, Wellington. Professor Smith will use the grubs in a research programme aimed at overcoming the development of resistance to D.D.T. in grubs.
