OVERSEAS SALES
SYDNEY After steadying on Monday as markets continued their downward progress yesterday, falls once against were most marked among the mining and oils, where falls outnumbered rises two to one. C.S.R.’s take-over bid for Wunderlich failed to spark activity in either stock, C.S.R. in fact sold lower to close at 790 c. B.H.P. did not respond to oil shows in Flounder, the closing price of 1590 c showed a net loss of 15c. The market held back from Nety Broken Hill to digest the announced s22m issue. A low sale of 1880 c showed a gain of 30c.
