F.O.L. Against Conference
(N.Z. Press Association) WAIROA, May 13. The Federation of Labour was not in favour of an industrial relations conference as suggested by the labour committee of the National Development Conference, Mr F. B. Thorn, the president of the Wellington Freezing Workers’ Union and a member of the F.O.L. national executive said today. “But we would be prepared to meet the main employers to discuss industrial relations,” he said.
Mr Thorn visited Swift (N.Z.) Company’s Wairoa freezing works this afternoon. t
