Apollo 10 Primed

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copy right) CAPE KENNEDY, May 13. Technicians primed the Apollo 10 spacecraft and its lunar module space ferry today as the countdown for the eight-day, round-the-moon mission began at midnight. From now until 4.49 a.m. New Zealand time on Monday, when the engines of the giant Saturn 5 moon rocket are fired to launch three astronauts on their way to the moon, the engineers will adhere to a rigorous timetable in making final preparations for the flight. The three astronauts spent most of yesterday practising the critical manoeuvres they will carry out in their 30 orbits round the moon.
