(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) TOKYO, May 12.
Communist China claimed yesterday that a United States military plane and a warship had violated its territorial limits on Saturday and Sunday in “military provocations.”
Peking’s official Hsinhua (New China) News Agency said that the Chinese Foreign Ministry had issued the 468th “serious warning” against the alleged provocations.
It added that an American military plane had intruded into China’s air space over the Hsisha Islands, off Southern China, on Saturday, and that a United States warship had crossed .into Chinese territorial waters off the province of Fukien on Sunday.
