12 Generals Dead

MOSCOW, May 12.
The Soviet military newspaper, “Red Star," yesterday reported the death of MajorGeneral August Nemme, the twelfth Russian general to have died since April 19. General Nemme was identified as a retired veteran of the Soviet armoured forces. The death was announced in a notice signed by “a group of comrades in arms.”
General Nemme’s age was not given, but he was described as a veteran of the 1918-1921 Civil War and World War 11. This would put him in his late sixties.
