Meeting
Sir, —“A Complainant” is obviously confused. Any resident in his senses and being subjected to the unpleasantness and health dangers of industrial fumes would be thankful for the fact that Mr Neary and his society are interested in Hornby—a district in which they do not reside. The council, regrettably, conducted this meeting in a “hush-hush” manner not in keeping with their usual open policy. We trust the public statement promised by Mr Warren, chairman of the meeting, will help to allay some anxieties. In the meantime let us be thankful we have a Mr Neary in the city. There are lamentably few of them round nowadays.— Yours, etc., ALSO A COMPLAINANT. May 12, 1969.
