The Rev. W. A. Childs, assistant in the Anglican parish of St Albans, has been appointed vicar of Banks Peninsula. Before being ordained in 1967 in the Diocese of Christchurch, Mr Childs was a Church Army officer for some years. It is expected that he will take up his new work in July.
