Byron Recognised
Lord Byron finally took his place today alongside his equally-famous fellow-poets, Browning, Tennyson, Milton and Blake in the Poets’ Corner of Westminster Abbey. A congregation of 200 witnessed his official recognition when a simple memorial stone was unveiled 145 years after Byron’s death. —London, May 9.
