Sex Laws Changed
The West German Parliament, in a revision of the 1871 German Penal Code, has liberalised its provisions deal-
ing with sexual offences. It has pissed a law that abolishes penalties for adultery, fornication, homosexual acts between consenting adults, and sexual acts with animals. The Minister of Justice (Mr Horst Ehmke) said yesterday that the new law was based on the view expressed by the Canadian Prime Minister (Mr Pierre Trudeau) that “the Government has no right tn its citizens’ bedrooms.” — Bonn, May 11.
