MAORIS TO BE CAPPED

Record At Auckland (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. A record 16 Maori students from Auckland University will be capped on Friday. Among them will be Mr and Mrs R. Kirikiri who will both receive a bachelor of arts degree. Mrs Roimata Kirikiri teaches Maori at Otara College and her husband is doing honours in anthropological linguistics. She is a daughter of Dr D. I. Sinclair, a medical practitioner in Hamilton.

Students from the same family to be capped are Kauaterangi and Tamati Reedy, first cousins, and members of a well-known East Coast family. Tamati. a former Maori All Black, will be capped 8.A., and Kauaterangi, B. Com.
