Parlez d’Amour Otaki Pick

Parlez d’Amour appears to be the leading chance in the Ta Ttmi Kara Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Otaki Maori Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow. Despite the rain this week, Otaki is hardly likely to provide real winter ground, another point in Parlez d’Amour’s favour. The banked track drains rapidly, so the footing should be better than generally expected. Parlez d'Amour's main rival might be Testify which was listed yesterday as a certain starter by his trainer, J. K. Searle. He hurt himself on the way to Trentham and bad to be withdrawn from an engagement there. However, he hit out well In light .exercise yesterday and his bold showing in the Gloaming Stakes at Trentham makes him a distinct possibility. Fair Koral, which had no luck at Marton, the track specialist, Goldy Boy, and the improvers, Allbut and Sheriocks, are others likely to test Parlez d’Amour. The second leg is the Talpua Handicap, in which Able Mariner will be a strong prospect with the sting out of the ground; Selections:—
