Opposition To New Road
Plans by the Paparua County Council to make a road to serve the Hornby commercial block were opposed by Mr R. A. de Rungs at the Special Town and Country Planning Appeal Board yesterday. Mr de Rungs (Mr B. J. Drake) said the road would go over his home at 16 Shands Road, and the council had disallowed his appeal. He saw no need for the road, but it could go further south. Mr J. R. Milligan said the council believed the road to be necessary for commercial development. Decision was reserved.
