Bucher Given Shore Post
. (N.Z.P A.-Reuter-Copyright) WASHINGTON, May 8. Commander Lloyd Bucher, captain of the Pueblo spy ship seized by North Korea 15 months ago, was assigned today to the Naval PostGraduate School, which prepares senior officers for top Navy management jobs. The Navy reported that Commander Bucher was “very pleased” with the assignment. The announcement came a day after the Navy Secretary, Mr John Chaffee, said no action would be taken against Commander. Bucher or any other member of the Pueblo crew, in spite of recommendations made by a Navy board of inquiry.
