Bra Name Banned
(N.Z .P. A .-Reuter—Copyright! LONDON, May 7. A nine-year legal battle between two brassiere makers has been settled in the House of Lords. The case ended with five Law Lords in Britain’s highest court of appeal deciding that women buying bras were likely to confuse a “Bali" with a “Berlei”—both trademarks.
They ruled that the name Bali must not be used as a trademark in British lingerie shops by the Bali Brassiere Company of America.
