Cottesmore Deb. Ball
Eleven girls made a formal curtsey before the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby) at the second Cottesmore debutante ball, held in the Horticultural Hall last night They were announced by Mr H. Connor and presented by Mrs K. Wilson, president of the Sacre Coeur Old Girls’ Association.
Specially invited guests were the parish priest of Burnside (Rev, Fatter T. C. Curnow), Rev. Fathers J. Con. sedine and M. O’Malley, and representatives of kindred old girls* associations. Members of the,ball committee were Mesdames Guy Cross, H. P. Kearney, 3. M. Curnow, M. G. Loughnan, Miss Mona Gillespie, Messrs K. N. Curnow, H. E. Connor, and I. McCormick.
- The debutantes were Judith Daley, Margaret Dwan, Anne Grice, Deborah Hall, Mary Harte, Susan Kearney, Denise Leary, Dianne O’Donnell, Christine O’Rourke, Judith Walker and Robin Young. They were trained by Mrs W. Wilson.
