SEWERAGE FOR WAIKUKU
Council To Apply
For Loan
Proposals to install a sewerage scheme for the Waikuku Beach area have reached the stage that the Rangiora County Council will consider at its meeting on June 6 a motion to apply to the Local Authorities' Loans Board for sanction to raise a loan of $85,000. It is intended that the loan will be secured by a special I rate of 3.8 c in the $ on unimproved value of properties within a special rating area. It is not expected that this rate will be levied, however, as the loan charges will be met by a uniform annual fee. About 290 properties are affected, said the County Clerk (Mr A. A. H. McKenzie) yesterday. Although the amount of the uniform fee had not been accurately determined yet, it would probably be about 826. A roll of persons and their properties in the special rating area has been prepared and is available for inspection at the county office. Rangiora Golf ’““I? « <h« Mansion Golf match were:— w.
