Steel And Tube Profit Down
I The unaudited net profit of I the Steel and Tube Company of New Zealand, Ltd (after deduction of minority interests) for the six months to April 1 was $501,724, the directors announced in an interim report. This compares with $527,253 for the corresponding period last year-—a fall of 4.8 per cent
The steady interim dividend of 5.5 per cent will be paid on June 6; ex dividend May 19.
