Heavy-Weight Pair In Winning Stand

The 6ft 7in Greig combined with the 16st Milburn to put on 95 runs in 49 minutes as the pair thrashed the Yorkshire attack.

The M.C.C., 48 for two wickets when Greig joined Milburn, faced the task of scoring 188- runs ip 165 minutes. Greig hit his second delivery for four and went on to compile 82 not out in 80 minutes, adding to bis unbeaten half-century the previous day.
