Cohn-Bendit Arrested

Police used water cannon and clubs yesterday in a battle with about 400 demonstrators at Frankfurt University and police said 13 persons were taken into custody, including Daniel Cohn-Bendit, a leader of last year’s riots in France.

Cohn-Bendit, who describes himself as an anarchist, is a student at the university where there have been three days of disorders and demonstrations. He has been barred from France since last year and was recently turned back at Orly Airport when he tried to enter the country.
