Birthday Reunion
For Mrs R. 11. Grant Cowen, of Sumner, who was 87 yesterday, her “most cherished birthday gift” was a visit from her daughter, Mrs Martin Sullivan, wife of the Dean of St Paul’s London. They had not met for seven years. Surrounded by flowers, which had come from friends in Oxford (England). Auckland and Christchurch, Mrs Grant Cowen had one of her happiest birthdays. “It is wondeful to have Dori* with me,” she said.
t “I have been looking for- ! ward to her visit ever since , I knew she was coming to ; New Zealand.” The Dean and Mr* Sullivan arrived in Auckland ' last week-end on a month’s tour of New Zealand. Mrs Sullivan took time off from a very busy programme to , fly to Christchurch on Moni day evening to be with her mother yesterday. She will return to Auckland today to i resume her itinerary with i the Dean. They will be In Chrlsti church for a week from May 20.
