Birthday Reunion

For Mrs R. 11. Grant Cowen, of Sumner, who was 87 yesterday, her “most cherished birthday gift” was a visit from her daughter, Mrs Martin Sullivan, wife of the Dean of St Paul’s London. They had not met for seven years. Surrounded by flowers, which had come from friends in Oxford (England). Auckland and Christchurch, Mrs Grant Cowen had one of her happiest birthdays. “It is wondeful to have Dori* with me,” she said.
