Dick, the powerful Auckland wing who dropped out of All Black considerations last year when he was not available for the tour of Australia, is making a strong bid to regain his test place in the two internationals against Wales this season. “Because of my work I had to pull out of the trials and the All Blacks tour last year," said Dick yesterday. “This year I do not have the same problems and 1 am keen to ;try and get back into the All Blacks.”

Dick, who has scored 20 ■tries for New Zealand in 26 has had a chequered 'career since his outstanding ■play in the 1963-64 team iwhich toured the British I Isles, France and North America.

Because of injuries, loss of form and unavailability, Dick has played only two matches for New Zealand since that tour—one against the 1965 Springboks and the other against the 1966 Lions.
