Mr Walter Elected
Mr C. V. Walter was appointed selector of the Canterbury senior hockey team for the 1969 season at a meeting last evening of the management committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association.
The only other nomination was Mr R. Gillespie. Other selectors appointed were Mr J. Bate (colts), Mr R. F. J. Page (second grade) and Mr J. Gibson (under 14). The committee decided to request from clubs nominations for selectors for senior reserve, third grade, fourth grade, under-16 and secondary schools. Summer Hockey.—The committee gave its approval for a summer hockey competition to be held next season on similar tines to the one conducted during 1968-69
