SECTIONS SOLD
Five Bring $45,400 Five sections In a new housing subdivision at Heaton Rhodes Place, Cashmere, were sold yesterday for $45,400 at an auction conducted by W. E. Simes and Company in conjunction with Baker Bros, Ltd. The sections were sold on behalf of the Rhodes Memorial Convalescent Home.
The top price of $11,600 was paid for a section of 25.4 perches. Prices paid for the other sections were $9600 (38.7 perches), $BBOO (43 perches), $BOOO (24 perches), and $7400 (24 perches). The average price was more than $9OOO.
The auctioneer (Mr R. Simes said about 100 persons attended the auction. Bidding for each section began at $6OOO and rose in $2OO bids.
