AIR POLLUTION CONFERENCE
Five international author!* j ties on air pollution and i health will speak at the third international clean air conference at the University of New South Wales on May 19. 20 and 21. They are Professor P. J. Lawther. Medical Research Council of Great Britain; Professor A. C. Stem. School of 1 Environmental Health. North ' Carolina; Mr C. Hardesty. Jun., vice-president Consolidated Coal Company, United States: Mr T. Douglas. NewZealand Health Department: and Dr A. Bell. World Health Organisation, at present on loan from Australia to Geneva. The conference is sponsored jointly by the New South Wales Department of Health and the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand. Mr J. G. Schroder, president of the Clean Air Society. ; says that the conference is an integral part of the national
programme to improve the quality of the air Australians breathe.
