SKATING UNITY

The control of roller skating in New Zealand is no longer shared by two bodies. At a meeting in Wellington last week-end, the New Zealand Roller Skating Association and the Amateur Roller Skating Association of New Zealand achieved amalgamation.

This was announced in Christchurch yesterday byMrs J. Allchurch, secretary of the New Zealand Roller Skating Association. The move brought together the 50 roller skating clubs in the country. The new body will be known as the New Zealand Federation of Roller Skating. The first national championships under the control of the new body will he held at Napier from January 3 to 10 next year.
