New Cars Damaged
(N.Z. Press Association)
AUCKLAND, Mar. 18.
Youths imitating stock-car drivers are thought to have caused damage estimated to be between $2OOO and $3OOO to 19 new cars in a warehouse in Otahuhu at the week-end.
The damaged cars had been assembled by Motor Industries International, Ltd, and were stored in the warehouse in Great South Road awaiting the fitting of a few final parts. The police think the vandals drove the cars in circles in the building. Wheelmarks were clearly visible on the floor.
