. (N.Z. Press Association) TOKOROA. The New Zealand champion, R. Quax (Hamilton) produced a magnificent run Ito record 4min Isec for the I mile on a dusty and badly | cracked track at Tokoroa last night. | Quax covered the first lap in 58sec but slowed in the I second to complete the half!mile in 2min 2sec. However, Ihe covered the last lap in a I fast 56sec. Second was P. Reeves (Onehunga) and third, M. R Ryan (Tokoroa). Quax’s best time for the mile is 4min o.6sec-
