TENNIS IN BERLIN
(N.Z. Press Association) . WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association hopes to have its four Davis Cup players compete in a tournament in Berlin from April 27 to May 1. This is two weeks before New Zealand’s cup tie with West Germany at Colonge. The team will play in the Italian open championships at Rome from April 21-27. The Berlin tournament will probably be held on a clay surface, similar to that for the Davis Cup match at Cologne. The Netherlands L.T.A. has provisionally agreed to play its Davis Cup team against New Zealand’s in a practice match from May 24, probably at Amsterdam.
