WOOD-CHOPPING EVENT AT GREYMOUTH.—Axemen chopping during the relay event between New Zealand and Australia at Victoria Park, Greymouth, at the week-end. New Zealand won by 10 strokes in a time of 4min 28sec, which is 25sec outside the Australian record set in Sydney in 1962.
