No Quorum Of Creditors
A man who, because of periods off work through injury, found that his debts grew until he was “unable to handle them,” disclosed a deficiency of $257.77 at a meeting of his creditors yesterday. Kenneth Leslie Palmer, aged 27, of 8 Savage Street, Kainga, said that he owed' money to eight creditors, all of whom were unsecured, and he had no assets. Palmer, who is married with three children, was adjudged bankrupt on February 11, and said that he had been off work for about 18 months with a wrist injured while working at a forest and off work for a further period after a car accident
“The debts just got bigger until I was unable to handle them,” he said. Mr L. Anderson, the deputy Official Assignee who conducted the meeting, adjounred it sine die for lack of a quorum.
