A three-bedroom house in McLean Street, Linwood, was passed in for $5450 at public auction yesterday. The property was offered for sale by R. G. Bell and Company, on behalf of an estate. The house stands on a section of 25.8 perches. The bidding was spirited and the auctioneer was Mr R. G. Bell. A large house at 83 Bealey Avenue was sold at a private sale recently. The house, which was once owned by Dr L. C. L. Averill, has an owner’s flat and six rented flats and stands upon a section of 56 perches. It was offered for sale by Livingstone and Company.
