Marsh’s Team In Form

••The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Members of R. N. Marsh’s team engaged at Cromwell were prominent in the track work at Wingatui yesterday morning. Since Marsh was admitted to hospital with severe head injuries on Saturday, his 16horse team has been supervised and worked by local trainers and jockeys. J. R. Dowling has taken responsibility as trainer in the meantime, and with him are R. Heasley and J. D. Pankhurst, together with several other willing helpers. Working on the plough, which was fast, Noricia (J. D. Pankhurst), Blue Boy (Dowling), and General Tracey (T. Gore) ran half a mile in 50 2-ssec, the last three furlongs in 38sec. Their stablemates, Mightyway (Pankhurst) and Sea Flight (Dowling) worked well in 50sec, the last three furlongs in 34 4*ssec.

One member of Marsh’s team will not make the trip to Cromwell. The registration of Blue Boy came too late, and he has been deleted from the field for the Kawarau Maiden Stakes. This will allow Iddy to re-enter the field.

Mon Amour (T. McKeown) and Winchman (E. J. Didham) were together over five furlongs in lmin ssec, the last three furlongs in 39 2-ssec, and these times were equalled by Bell Cerne (Didham).

On the sand. Belfie (M. T. Kennedy) and Royal Mount (C. B. Lott) worked well over five furlongs in lmin ssec, the last three furlongs in 39 3-ssec. Tranquil Flight (A. K.
