TOP CLUBS TO MEET
The two teams likely to be strongest challengers for the 1969. southern league championship, Rangers and Technical, will meet on the opening day of the season, on Easter Saturday (April 5).
They will play in the main game at English Park. Technical, also, will have the main game on Easter Monday at English Park, when it will meet New Brighton, which won the second division championship last yean
Last season's champion, Christchurch City, will be
away on both days, as will Shamrock. The draw for the first division on the opening days is:— Easter Saturday.—Western v. St Kilda, English Park, 1 p.m.; Rangers v. Technical, English Park, 2.45 p.m.: Northern v. Shamrock, Dunedin; RoslynWakari v. New Brighton, Dunedin; Queen's Park v. Christchurch City, Invercargill. Easter Monday.—Rangers v. Western, English Park, I p.m.; Technical v. New Brighton, English Park, 2.45 p.m.: St Kilda v. Shamrock, Dunedin; Northern v. Christchurch City. Dunedin; Queen’s Park v. RoslynWakari, Invercargill.
